Ramirez Yin Wedding

This had to be the most beautiful, whimsical, romantic wedding I've been to. Maybe because she is our "baby" sister that if feels so special but it was beautiful.

The church was so busy that we didn't have a room to dress Rebecca. We used a back restroom lol. Notice the flowers? A lot more where that came from.

Pokey and I were the Padrinos for the lasso. A lasso is two rosaries combined as one. When you place it on the couple you are surrounding them in prayer. I love it. Very special.

The wedding was beautiful. My cousin Kat say next to me and cried from the start which ofcourse caused me to cry too. Everything was so beautiful. The ceremony. The readings. Everything.

Rebecca just had Rachel as her wedding party. She was the matron of honor. All of us are her special girls. Sisters, in law and cousins.

With the siblings and the best man

Have I mentioned lately how much I love this man? Sigh...I do.

Angie...she wears pregnancy well. She have birth to her 6th child Tuesday (3/25/14) after the wedding.

The reception was at Avant Garden. I wish I got a better picture of the scenery. It was so pretty.

You know how we roll...Mariachis!

The center pieces were so simple. Beautiful. There thing is to travel and music so this fit them perfectly.

I did my sisters nails for the wedding. Aren't they cute! Lol

Our family. My brother is the only one who carries the Ramirez name. All of us girls are married now. All the kids belong to my sister Angie and brother in law John. Aren't they so young looking! I love it.

We have now gained more family members.

Cupcake tower w a little cake on top. Everything taste so good. My sister in laws sister has a bakery and made the sweets. So delish.

Look at my Jacoby. I'm his favorite Tia.

Pokey with Lukas.

They are so funny.

Rebecca and Bernard met thru our cousins band. Bernard was the only non family member lol. The Astra Heights played and Becca jumped on staged. It was fun. Lots of dancing this night.

We all stayed at the Magnolia Hotel and I forced myself up to get breakfast with everyone. It was fun!

Jackfruit "beef" Stew

SATURDAY WITH MY PARENTS! Pokey went fishing and I went grocery shopping. I love to hang out with my family. I love them with my entire heart. I called my mom and asked her if she wanted to join me while I picked up a few things from the store. Of course, she said yes. When I get to my parents she says my dad wants tacos from Cristobal. I'm down because they really have great tacos. I got beans and nopales (cactus) Look how cute my parents are. 43 years in February.  I love that they show love to each other.  We ended up going to HEB and I didn't grab much but I got some acorn squash and some okra.  It was a cold Saturday and I know him being on the water plus the wind I know he would appreciate a warm meal when he came home. My mom in law bought us a Ninja Foodi and I have been intimidated by it for almost a year. This is probably the 4th time I have used it. I had one of those meal cheaters, it was beef stew one where you add meat and some veggies.  I added ...

It's May!

I was texting w La and we were talking food and what not. Anyways. It dawned on my that its May. I'm going into my fifth month of being like 90% vegan. It's funny because its not like that 10% is milk and cheese. It's Chic Fil A! Lol. Their sunflower bagel chicken breakfast biscuit is crack! At work we had a luncheon and they make the best steak. I had a couple of bites and I gave it to Patty. I didn't have a taste for it..what...crazy in know. Another time we had family over and I bought barbacoa and carnitas. I was so sad face. The barbacoa was not delish to me any more. Carnitas were great but I could do w out. I just was always a fan of pork. But I haven't had bacon yet. Go figure. We started this journey w juicing. And then after I thought "no meat/dairy" till the end of March. I wanted to get blood work done to see if it was worth it. It was. I lowered my cholesterol by 13 points! I think that's great. Plus...I feel great. I'm very ...

21 Day Sugar Detox

Monday after Super Bowl some friends and I started this detox. I was nervous, excited, anxious and scared. I didn't know what to expect. It went well.  I are a lot like this. No sugar meant no bread or processed foods. I lost 9lbs. It felt good. It did change my way of thinking about sweets. I don't crave them. I guess that was the point lol.  I'm glad it's over but I've been following the diet for the most part.
