My Birthday!!!

I'm 35 today. I feel great. Age is just a number. I don't feel "old" I don't feel "aging" I know I'm "mid-thirties" but I'm ok with that.

I spent my day w this girl! Sully. I love her. She is really like a younger sister to me. I've known her since she was 18 she's now 23. She has fought and won her battle w cancer. Yay! Melanoma is a bitch and I'm glad she doesn't have it anymore. Notice the whiteness on her legs. Sunblock. I'm not even mad.
We went kayaking. It was fun. It was a work out. The wind kept blowing us the wrong way!
We went riding to the beach!  Sully hasn't rode a bike since she was a kid. She did good.
We rode from one side of the island to the other. We are awesome.
Dinner was amazing. Pokey made a jerk pork and rice and peas. I made veggies for tacos and "hot wing" cauliflower.
Pokey wanted to get me a cake but I didn't want it. I wanted watermelon. We bought red velvet cupcakes and we put the candles in the watermelon.
I had an amazing day! My Aunt Nancy and her girls came over. The girls were on the deck "fishing" for jelly fish. It was funny. We sat outside and just talked and enjoyed the breeze.  No pressure for anything. Moved slowly. Chilled. Kicked it. All that. It was great birthday.

21 Day Sugar Detox

Monday after Super Bowl some friends and I started this detox. I was nervous, excited, anxious and scared. I didn't know what to expect. It went well.  I are a lot like this. No sugar meant no bread or processed foods. I lost 9lbs. It felt good. It did change my way of thinking about sweets. I don't crave them. I guess that was the point lol.  I'm glad it's over but I've been following the diet for the most part.
