30 Day Vegan Challenge: Day 20

Home stretch guys. 10 days till this challenge is over. I'm proud of myself. :)

Skipped breakfast. Not so good but Lily and I went grocery shopping. This is how we spend our Monday mornings (so domesticated)
Monday afternoons are lunch! I made red quinoa with coconut curry cauliflower and carrots w onions. It's so good. Lily never had curry anything. I'm glad she likes it. Then we saw an artichoke at HEB and she asked if I ever had it before. I have so I made it for her.
Bernard leaves tomorrow so tonight I made dinner for him Rebecca Rachel and Bobby. Dinner was good! I'm glad they all like veggies. I made a pasta sauce to go over yam noodles and made spinach and chickpeas and pizza on flat bread. All delish!
Dessert was "ice cream" frozen banana and strawberries. Yummo
Everyone is gone now and I put Travel Channel's Burgerland on. Now he's hungry all over again. He made a vegan burger patty w bell pepper and ham to make it "Mexican" on sandwich thins. What part of the game is that?!? He's so funny
For someone who doesn't eat meat you sure can watch meat on tv-Pokey

Watching food on tv doesn't bother me lol

Is your fridge a garden or a morgue?

Pokey and I love to grocery shop. It's what we do lol. I really love that he is cool w the fact that I'm not eating meat and don't care for it in the house. I feel it take up space and why do that when I can put veggies in its place!  First shelf: almond milk, black berries, cilantro, cherries, yogurt (his) apple sauce that my momma brought over for Angie's kids. I need to give that to her. And BEER!!! Bobby gave it to Pokey  Second shelf: Salad stuff. Spinach, spring mix, feta cheese, avocado and tomatoes  Third shelf: Green grapes, mushrooms and corn. HEB 5 for $1  Fourth shelf: Eggplant (Pokey's) red grapes, watermelon and cauliflower. Pickled jalapeño. Pokeys choice. Not mine "/   Vegetable drawer: Bell pepper, tomato, broccoli, cucumbers, poblano pepper and small red orange and yellow peppers  Counter: FRUIT!!! Bananas, pineapples, apples, pear, lemon and limes.  I LOVE COLOR!!!!

21 Day Sugar Detox

Monday after Super Bowl some friends and I started this detox. I was nervous, excited, anxious and scared. I didn't know what to expect. It went well.  I are a lot like this. No sugar meant no bread or processed foods. I lost 9lbs. It felt good. It did change my way of thinking about sweets. I don't crave them. I guess that was the point lol.  I'm glad it's over but I've been following the diet for the most part.
